Videostroboscopy
Videostroboscopy or stroboscopy is a method of examining the vocal folds using a strobe light creating a slow motion illusion of the vocal folds. The slow motion appearance allows for evaluation of the fine details of the vocal folds which can cause voice disorders and that are missed using a regular white light laryngoscope. Videostroboscopy can be used using a flexible laryngoscope through the nasal passage or using a rigid angled telescope going through the mouth.
